Satellite Internet Starlink Launched on the Karaganda – Mangyshlak Train
KAZTECHNOLOGY Expands Internet Coverage on Kazakhstan Rail Routes
Passengers on Train No. 79/80, running on the Karaganda – Zhezkazgan – Mangyshlak route, can now access high-speed Starlink satellite internet. The project was implemented by KAZTECHNOLOGY in partnership with the carrier Ulytau Express LLC.
According to experts, the implementation of satellite technology will allow passengers to stay connected even in the most remote sections of the trip. The route passes through vast areas with limited or non-existent mobile network coverage, where traditional 4G internet fails to work.
Thanks to the Starlink connection, passengers can freely use messaging apps, social media, online services, and handle work tasks while traveling. KAZTECHNOLOGY highlighted that this project is part of ongoing efforts to digitize passenger transport and improve travel comfort across Kazakhstan.
